i agree that it is really difficult to find places that are properly accessible. most of the time i've been looking for one is needing a venue for an informal meeting (a cafe or restaurant or pub with a separate function room, for example) or for an event (like a birthday). some venues have accessible toilets but steps to the front door, or vice versa. and once you've found a place that fits the bill, how easy is it to get to? do the trams/buses/trains that go nearby cater for people using mobility aids?

anyway, i'm not sure where you are in australia, but i'm part of a team (mostly TAB) that's been mapping gender neutral and/or wheelchair accessible toilets in melbourne (and victoria, kind of!). the project has unfortunately quitened down a lot this year, but we're still getting submissions.

Recently it has become obvious that the consumer is being conned by the push to organic produce and, indeed, the evidence is that organic produce may actually not be any better for us.

The same cannot be said for accessibility. I have had some experience of accompanying someone who suffered the lack of facilities and can concur with the feelings of frustration.
